Deuteronomy 8:4-6

4 The clothing did not fall from you in tatters, nor did your feet swell these forty years.(A) 5 So you must know in your heart that, even as a man disciplines his son, so the Lord, your God, disciplines you.(B) 6 Therefore, keep the commandments of the Lord, your God, by walking in his ways and fearing him.
